FAQ - How does it Play ?

Bring your Armies to Life !

  • Each unit on the table takes on a personality of its own.
  • No figure removal needed - casualties tracked in detail per unit.
  • Dispatch orders to units, which take realistic timeframes to be activated.
  • Full range of unit types, with 10 levels of troop grades.
  • Full range of small unit formations, and grand tactical formations.
  • Each battalion unit tracked in detail - casualties, morale, ammo, fatigue, etc.
  • Higher level formation orders, internal cohesion, and panic level.
  • Skirmisher combat with Dice rolls is modelled on the table - including at Regimental level games. Not abstracted out.
  • Full Melee or Firefight combat is modelled on the table - using opposing D10 rolls for generating the random element.
  • Combat results use multiple tables depending on the situation (pitched open battle / defender advantage / attacker advantage / cavalry vs squares / figting in woods, buildings etc) to generate realistic outcomes across the range of random outliers. Tactics over Dice.
  • Accumulation of gun smoke, battlefield noise and inclement weather is included in the combat model.
  • Accurate artillery doctrine, effects and endurance to keep firing.
  • Accurate cavalry doctrine, charges, blown horses, etc.
  • Multiple battle scales - collections of bases can be Brigades, Battalions, or even Company level units. No bathtubbing - each level plays differently.
  • Multiple figure scales - 6mm / 10mm / 15mm / 18mm / 20mm / 28mm / 54mm - all good.
  • Army Lists and OOB guide for - Austria / Britain / France / Prussia / Russia / Spain / Ottomans.
  • Historically accurate scenarios for famous battles, researched and scaled to fit a tabletop game.
